On September 2, 2026, the Canada Finland Chamber of Commerce brought together Finnish and Canadian business and industry leaders for an evening focused on advanced manufacturing, industrial innovation and opportunities for greater Finland–Canada collaboration.
The event was organized in connection with the visit of a high-level delegation from Technology Industries of Finland, consisting of senior executives, business owners and industry leaders representing some of Finland’s leading technology and manufacturing companies.
Hosted at Miller Thomson LLP in downtown Toronto, the evening provided an opportunity to exchange perspectives on the forces shaping industrial competitiveness in both countries – including productivity, artificial intelligence and automation, workforce challenges, supply chains, market expansion and international collaboration.
We were especially honoured to welcome The Honourable Victor Fedeli, Ontario’s Minister of Economic Development, Job Creation and Trade, who joined the event and delivered opening remarks.
The panel discussion, The Future of Industrial Competitiveness: Finland–Canada Perspectives on Advanced Manufacturing, Industrial Innovation and Collaboration, brought together leaders from Finland and Canada to explore the challenges and opportunities facing industry today and the potential for stronger cooperation between the two countries.
The discussion was followed by a networking reception, providing the visiting Finnish delegation and members of the Canadian business community with an opportunity to continue the conversations and build new connections.
Thank you to our hosts and partners
A very special thank you to Miller Thomson LLP for hosting and sponsoring the evening. Their generous support made it possible to bring together the Finnish delegation and the broader Canada–Finland business community for this important discussion.
We would also like to thank Minister Fedeli, our moderator and panellists, the Technology Industries of Finland delegation, and everyone who joined us for the evening and contributed to the conversations.
Events like this demonstrate the value of bringing business leaders together across borders – not only to exchange ideas, but to identify concrete opportunities for collaboration, investment and long-term business relationships between Finland and Canada.
